About ALSTOM

Alstom is a global leader in the world of power generation and rail infrastructure and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies. Alstom builds the fastest train and the highest capacity automated metro in the world, and provides turnkey integrated power plant solutions and associated services for a wide variety of energy sources, including hydro, gas and coal. The company is the world leader in integrated power plant, in power production services and air quality control systems. Alstom works with all energy forms (coal, gas, nuclear, fuel-oil, hydropower, wind) and is a leader in environmental protection (reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions..). Alstom will provide the conventional island for the future EPR nuclear power plant in France. The Group is also developing CO2 capture processes that could lead to commercial scale by 2011.

Alstom has been playing a role in China's development for almost 50 years and currently employs around 9000 people in the country
'Be Chinese in China' is a fundamental principle in Alstom’s approach to run our business in China. The progressive implementation for our strategy in power and transport deepened our relationship with Chinese partners and enhanced our global presence. Alstom China has been growing rapidly in the past few years through the participation of vital infrastructure solutions in electric power and rail transport in China including prestigious world-class references like Three Gorges Project, Daya Bay and Ling Ao nuclear power stations, Mass transit rolling stock or signaling projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and supply of electric fright locomotives and the electrification of Shi-Tai line.
Now Alstom has around 9000 employees working at 18 entities in China. Our healthy expansion is parallel with the general trend of China power and rail transport development which environmental protection is the key challenge for sustainable growth. To this end, the Group has established Alstom University Asia Campus to develop the skills of its Chinese managers, while at the same time creating an industrial presence through several joint ventures or co-operation with Chinese partners. This strategy is part of Alstom’s success in China, and will continue to be the cornerstone of its growth home and abroad through exports from China to the rest of the world.

目前阿尔斯通在中国拥有18家实体和业务机构，员工总数近9000人。我们的业务成长已经融入到中国政府大力发展电力和轨道交通，并重视环保与可持续经济发展的大环境之中。集团还成立了阿尔斯通大学亚洲学院，以培养更多优秀的本地管理人才。同时阿尔斯通不断扩大在华业务，成立新的合资企业以及增进与中国伙伴的合作。这也成为阿尔斯通在华取得成功的因素之一，并将继续成为阿尔斯通在华发展和立足中国拓展全球市场的基石。
